You already know what you're doing. I help you show it.
Somebody who takes the time to understand what you actually do before pointing a camera at it, and who hands back work you can use in more than one place.
JCE Films makes video, photography and social content for businesses and organizations across Alberta: brand films, business profiles, explainers, recruitment video, campaign films for non-profits, and commercial photography.
Four jobs most businesses hire out separately
Strategy
What you actually need, what it is for, and what to do with it once you have it. Agreed before anything gets shot.
Video
Brand films, business profiles, explainers, recruitment, ads, and the short cuts that come out of the same footage.
Photography
Shot the same day in the same light, full usage rights, delivered organized so you can actually find things.
Social
Cinematic pieces and mini videos shot the same day, product photography, captions written, and a team who can run the posting if required.

This isn't just a job for me. It's personal.
I work with people who care deeply about what they do. Do-gooders, difference-makers, and folks who genuinely give a damn.
I'll ask the right questions, figure out what matters most, and make something that feels like you, not a cookie-cutter video that could belong to anyone. And you shouldn't spend money on video and photo that sits in a folder, so the plan for using the work is part of the work.
Three ways in, depending on where you're at
These prices are for the main video about your business.
The one that lives on your website and gets sent to people: who you are, what you do, why anyone should care. It is not a social media package. A batch of reels and photos for your feed is a different job with a different price, and it lives on the social media page.
One afternoon
Half a day, one finished video, and photos from the same session. It might be the main video for your website, a behind-the-scenes piece to loop at a trade show booth, an introduction to one service, or something to play at an AGM. Plenty of good work starts here.
A proper piece
Interviews, more than one day where it needs it, photography, and several cuts out of the same footage: the main video, short versions, verticals for social.
A year of content
Working together a few times through the year against a plan set at the start, so you are not beginning from nothing every time something needs promoting. Invoiced per visit.

In plain terms
Brand and business video
The main video about who you are and what you do, for the front page and your social pages.
Business profiles
One owner, one operation, one honest look at how the place actually runs.
Explainer and promo
For when what you do takes some explaining, or you need something short to put budget behind.
Recruitment video
For clinics, hospitals, employers and municipalities. A job posting with a video attached gets read differently.
Non-profit and campaign films
Longer pieces made so someone watching decides to volunteer, donate or show up.
Campaigns and social
Faster, heavier edits built for paid ads, launches and feeds.
Commercial photography
Paired with the video and shot the same day. Full usage rights.
Training video
Internal pieces made once, used for years.
A plan to use it
Where each piece goes, when to post it, what to put behind an ad.
The pictures and videos are fantastic. The content really shows the hard work and dedication that was put into this project by everyone. We couldn't be happier. Ben · Client

What people ask before we start
How much does a business video cost?
The main video about your business starts around $1,600 for one afternoon and one finished piece. Most land between $2,500 and $6,000 once there are interviews, more than one day, or several cuts coming out of it. Social content is priced separately, because it is a different job with a different deliverable count.
What is the smallest thing you will take on?
One afternoon: one video, or a set of photos. It is a real option and it stays on the menu on purpose. Plenty of good work starts that way and grows later.
What types of businesses do you work with?
Honestly, almost any kind you can think of. Twelve years in, the list runs from tire shops and plumbers to law offices, cafes, hair salons, massage therapists, counsellors, yoga studios, grain farms, hospitals, food banks, community foundations and municipal offices. Industry has never been the thing that matters. Whether you care about what you do is.
Do you do the photography too, or just video?
Both, usually on the same days. It costs less than hiring separately and the two actually match, because they were shot in the same light by the same person.
What does the $1,600 video actually get used for?
Whatever you need it for. Most often it is the main video about the business, the one on your website and the one you send to people. But the same afternoon has produced trade show loops, behind-the-scenes pieces, recruitment videos, something to open an AGM, and an introduction to one particular service. It is not a social media package, though: a batch of short pieces and photos for your feed is a different job, priced by the piece on the social media page.
What happens at the first conversation?
You tell me what you are thinking, whether it is a clear idea or a total blur. I ask some good questions and help you work out what you actually need. No pressure, and no charge for the conversation.
Do you handle the whole production?
Yes. Planning, shooting, interviews, editing, colour, sound and delivery.
Do non-profits get a discount?
Yes, 10 percent. And 2 percent of gross sales goes to local charities.
Thinking about video, but not sure where to start?
No forms, no fluff. One conversation and you will know what I would make and roughly what it costs.
